Education Alternatives in Riverside California

Riverside contains 16 high schools, both private and public, and has 2 notable institutions of learning that are specified for specific student bodies: California School for the Deaf, Riverside for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing from 7th to 12th grade; and Sherman Indian School for Native American tribal members from 7th to 12th grade.

The University of California, Riverside is famous for its basketball team, as oppose to other universities that are well known for their football teams. The California School for the Deaf has a football team, the Riverside Bears, and had an undefeated season in 2006.
